The Academy makes several awards to recognize significant contributions to the field of intercultural research. Lifetime Contribution Awards
are made to scholars whose research and writing has significantly influenced the field. The Dissertation Award
is made to the person whose recent doctoral dissertation is judged to significantly contribute to the field. The Early Career Award
is designed to encourage and nurture scholars who are relatively new to the field and, by the research already produced, will shape the future direction of the field. The IJIR Outstanding Article Award is given to the paper which most nearly reflects the ideals of the Academy.
