The Lifetime Contribution Award is given to the scholar who has, in the judgments of the Academy contributed significantly to the scientific and theoretical foundations of intercultural research. Selection is made by a committee of Fellows appointed by the Academy Board. Nominations for this award can be made at any time by any member of the Academy and should be forwarded to the President who will send them on to the committee chairperson. The award is made at the biennial conferences of the Academy. 

The awardee is invited to give a plenary address after which he/she is given a plaque describing the award and a check for US$500.00.

    2004 Conference: Harry C. Triandis, Emeritus Professor of Psychology, University of Illinois, Urbana.

    2005 Conference: John Berry, Emeritus Professor of Psychology, Queens University, Kingston, ONT, Canada.
